About Anna Carroll, MIACP
Hi and welcome to my website.

I am a fully qualified and IACP Accredited Counsellor - Psychotherapist, with a background and qualifications in Education and Life and Business Coaching.

As an Autistic & ADHD parent to two Autistic children, I have a personal understanding of the Neurodivergent experience.

Following my own formal discovery of being Autistic, I set up An Inclusive Mind in response to the need to support Neurodivergent individuals in a Neuro - Affirmative way.
Put simply, my therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, inclusivity and respect.
I draw on my skills from my Counselling / Psychotherapy and Coaching qualifications to tailor sessions to meet clients' needs and goals.

I work from an Integrative therapeutic framework, with a Person-Centred, Neurodiversity-Affirmative approach at its core.

Living the Neurodivergent experience every day as a therapist / parent / late-identified AuDHD woman, I have the insight and compassion to fully support and understand others on a similar journey.

I look forward to hopefully working with you on yours.

Why An Inclusive Mind?
Here at An Inclusive Mind, I specialise in working with Neurodivergent people and their families to support and guide in a Neuro - Affirmative way.

I work with Neurodivergent individuals 18 years and older to embrace their authentic selves.

My client base includes:

-
Late identified Autistic/ADHD clients
-
Adults exploring possible Neurodivergent identity
-
Parents whose children are pre and post assessment.

Please note that I am not qualified to formally assess and diagnose Autism / ADHD etc. Such assessment must be carried out by a Clinical Psychologist / Psychiatrist.

I work together with my clients on their journey, acknowledging the challenges of Neurodivergent life whilst appreciating the value and strengths of Neurodivergence.

All too often Neurodivergent individuals are subjected to negative connotations regarding their identities which is harmful to well-being.

It is my aim to support clients and their families to view the Neurodivergent experience through another lens, promoting well-being and validity to this life experience.

No GP referral is required for my service.

The Therapy Space
I offer my clients the option of in-person or walk and talk sessions.

My therapeutic space is designed to maximise client comfort taking into account sensory profiles and preferences.
Client comfort is key to engaging in the therapeutic process and the reason why I offer both mediums through my work.

My Neuro-Affirmative Approach
As a practitioner with personal experience navigating the world through a Neurodivergent lens, I understand first-hand the unique strengths and challenges that come with being Autistic, ADHD or otherwise Neurodivergent.
As a parent to two Autistic children, I fully understand the parenting journey that nobody gets, unless they too are raising Neurodivergent children.

I offer a professional, supportive environment in which each unique client journey will be heard, understood, validated, fully accepted and honoured.
